Scope of application:

This standard specifies the static load test, fatigue test method and evaluation criteria for cast steel bolsters and side frames for railway freight car bogies.

This standard applies to cast steel bolsters and side frames of new two-axle bogies for railway wagons.

Test requirements:

1. There should be no interference from strong magnetic fields, noise and vibration affecting the test accuracy near the test site.

2. The load accuracy error of the test equipment should be no more than 1%.

Sample and installation:

1. The technical state of the sample shall comply with the national standard.

2, each side frame should be randomly selected 4, bolster test to extract 2 test pieces on the fatigue test equipment for testing.

3. The installation of the side frame water fatigue test should be based on the standard, and the installation of the bolster fatigue test is also based on the standard. The correctness of the test equipment and the position of the test piece should be carefully checked and confirmed before the test.

Side frame fatigue test:

1. The number of loadings of the side frame fatigue test is 1.5*10^5 times. The loading frequency is no more than 7 Hz.

2. The vertical, horizontal and torsional load amplitudes of the side frame fatigue test are shown in Table 1.

A. The vertical load loading position is the side frame spring seat. The shelves are loaded in a uniform manner.

B. The lateral load loading position is the edge of the side frame column, which is similar to the position where the bolster contacts the column under the action of static load. Each vertical loading shall have a transverse alternating load applied inside and outside the column.

C. The torsion load application position is the side frame cylinder surface and the edge. The torsional load is achieved by applying a certain longitudinal load on the inside of the side frame from its centerline distance d, which is half the center distance of the bogie journal. Every two vertical loads, there should be a torsional load alternating in a straight and counterclockwise direction.

Bolster fatigue test:

1. The number of cycles of each loading unit of the bolster fatigue test is 1*10^5 times, and a total of 10 loading unit fatigue tests are performed, and the total number of cycles is 1*10^6 times. The loading frequency is no more than 7 Hz.

2. The bolster fatigue test includes three conditions of side bearing roll load, core plate side roll load, and heart plate floating and sinking load fatigue test. The load values ​​of the three test conditions are shown in Table 2. Load action position and loading mode respectively for:

A. The load position and the waveform of the side bearing load are standard. The loading position is at the z and Z points of the side bearing on the left and right sides. The loading mode is that the load alternately acts on two points. For a complete cycle, the number of cycles of side-loading load fatigue testing is 25% of the number of cycles of a loading unit.

B. The loading position and waveform standard of the edge of the core plate are loaded. The loading position is G point, center Q point and right edge C point of the left edge of the heart plate. The loading mode is three points each loading once for a complete cycle, and the loading of three points. See Table 2 for the sequence. The number of cycles of the heart plate edge roll load fatigue test is 37.5% of the number of cycles of one load cell.

C, the heart plate floating load load position, waveform see standard, the loading position is the entire core plate surface, the number of cycles of the heart plate floating and sinking load test is 37.5% of the number of cycles of a loading unit.
