Mooncake tax exemption illegal hardware industry expressed little pressure (Figure)

As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, recent reports on “moon cake tax” have attracted widespread attention. It has been reported that the moon cakes issued by the units for employees during the Mid-Autumn Festival are also within the scope of a tax levy. The market price of moon cakes must be added to the employees' salaries, and taxes should be paid in accordance with the new tax law.

After consulting the Beijing local tax, the author learned that mooncakes and other kinds of goods are one form of personal income and should be counted as part of wages and remuneration. This rule has always existed, so the “moon cake tax” is not appropriate. For some units in the actual operation of the inclusion of moon cakes in the category of welfare fees to avoid paying a tax, the staff member said, "strictly speaking, is an illegal act."

The moon cake tax exemption actually violated the hardware industry and expressed little pressure. The author also learned from some salary inquiry websites and recruitment online that the hardware circle is a labor-intensive traditional industry, and the workers’ wages are basically in the middle and lower reaches of the pay stratum.

Taking the “technician” industry as an example, the average income of service technicians nationwide is 2,619 yuan, the national aftermarket technician is 2017 yuan, and the average income of national HVAC installation technicians is 2,100 yuan; taking “maintenance workers” as an example, the national equipment maintenance personnel are 2456 yuan, the average income level of the national automobile maintenance workers tax 2933 yuan, the average income of the national refrigeration maintenance workers is 2347 yuan, the average income of the national production and maintenance technicians 2234 yuan, the national equipment maintenance division is 3451 yuan; the average national hardware engineer salary is 3500 Floating up and down; electrician senior workers' monthly salary of up to 4350 yuan, mid-level workers, primary workers, the monthly salary of only 3790 yuan, 3230 yuan, the highest monthly wage of other types of work compared to it, generally lower by one or two thousand dollars.

It can be seen that the wages of hardware and electromechanical employees can rarely reach more than 3,500 yuan after removing the “three insurances and one gold”, and mid-autumn moon cakes do not have to pay taxes.

At the same time, many employees of the hardware also regretted that some electromechanical companies did not send gifts at the annual holidays, so they would like to appeal to the hardware company's humanistic care for employees.
