Yunnan Aluminum Electrolysis Energy-saving and Emission Reduction Research Center Passes Assessment

In order to strengthen the management of the Yunnan Engineering Technology Research Center and promote scientific and technological advancement of the Engineering Technology Research Center, the relevant departments of the Provincial Science and Technology Department organized the experts at the end of 2015 to identify 21 provincial-level engineering and technology research centers that were identified and operated for three years in 2009. A stage assessment was conducted.

Hydrometallurgical Engineering Technology Research Center of the Research Institute and Technology Center (supported by Yunnan Metallurgical Group Co., Ltd.) and Aluminum Electrolysis Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Engineering Technology Research Center (supported by Yunnan Yundalong Xin Aluminum Industry Co., Ltd. and Kunming Metallurgy Research Institute participated in the stage assessment as an evaluation object. Comrades Yang Dajin, chief metallurgical engineer, and Comrade Yun Lianxin Zhao Ruimin, respectively, reported to the relevant experts in detail the research level, team building and personnel training, open communication and operation management of the two engineering and technology research centers, and the next working ideas. And accept the question from the expert group. The leaders of the Science and Technology Department and related experts affirmed the work of the two engineering and technology research centers, pointed out the problems and proposed suggestions for future work.

The Yunnan Provincial Science and Technology Department believes that 10 centers, including the Yunnan Hydrometallurgical Engineering Technology Research Center, have achieved outstanding results in platform construction, personnel training, innovation output, operation and management, and completed the three-year goal of building a provincial-level engineering and technology research center. Tasks, assessment results are "excellent." The evaluation results of 11 centers of aluminum electrolysis energy-saving and emission reduction engineering and technology research institutes in Yunnan Province were “qualified”.
